“Papa is not here to acquire the certificate as a meal ticket. You know he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He only needs the education to broaden his horizon,” a member of his family who craved anonymity revealed. Lt. Col. Adegunju finished his secondary school education at Molusi College, Ijebu Igbo in 1958 and attended North West Polytechnic, London in 1964.

He qualified as a Chartered Secretary in 1968 and retired from Nigerian Army after 21 years of meritorious service.

At Stand.Out.And.Reign!, we place high premium on education, not mere schooling; hence we had to recast the headline to reflect that. We believe the septuagenarian’s desire is to expand his knowledge base and ‘broaden his horizon’.

Dear Friend, have you stopped learning? Did you stop your education because you are not in school now? Did you know that education is not ALL about schooling? In case you have not read the piece “What Are You Reading?!”, please check it out in “Recent Posts“. Enjoy!
