TOUGH TEARS DON’T LAST

By Adeleke Adeite

Many are called to compete

But few are chosen as champions

They have one head just like chicken

But they opt for better options.

They were not born in the sky

But they chose to fly

Because they know where they belong

And never fail to try.

Each time you fall,

If you have a fine future,

Get back on your feet,

But if you have no purpose to pursue,

Just remain in your pit.

The man at the top today has been through… terrible times,

That sister who is smiling now has screamed sometimes…

Tough tears don’t last forever

For those who trade tears for treasures.

Tough times bring troubles and

Trials and trophies and triumph.

No flower become fragrant

Except it faces two fierce forces: rainfall and sunshine.

So no soul can succeed without… sorry stories.

If you still have a heart,

You have hope,

So reach for the heights!

If you still have the breath of life,

You can break forth so bright.

Those mighty men were formerly

In the same mess you are today,

You can make it to the hall of honour,

Decide today without delay.
