CHAMPIONS or CHICKENS?

The last time I checked,

Champions and chickens have just one head.

Chickens have wings but cannot fly.

They are born with crowns,

But they do not rule.

Champions have no wings,

But they are high flyers;

They are not born with crowns,

But they stand out and reign.

What makes you a success

Is not your strength,

What makes you a failure

Is not your feeble features.

Chickens are pampered and by people

Only to end up in the pot of soup.

Champions are passionate

And persistent about their purpose

Till they get to the palace.

Chickens pick and peck particles around;

They never plough but they plunder.

Champions press on even when their purse lacks pulse,

They pursue to prevail.

What makes champions

Is the decision to be deaf

To the drumbeat of disadvantages.

What makes chickens

Is their decision to be driven

By the dictates of discouragement.

No matter how much a chicken is cheered,

It can never become a champion

Until there is a change of heart.

Success in not an art;

It’s an attitude of leaving the midst of multitude

For the altar of altitude.

Champions get charged by challenges;

Chickens get chained by it.

Change is not a choice,

It’s a chance.

A chance to be a charming champion or a cheered chicken

Is what we get when we wake up everyday.

Grab it! Take charge; you are a champion!
