Start Small to Stand Tall

By Adeleke Adeite

A man with a big dream who learns to start small
Will beyond any shadow of doubt stand tall.
One brick at a time becomes a haughty hall;
Small seeds with time become trees so great and tall.

If a man cannot start-up with a seemingly feeble flame,
I doubt if he can come up with the fire of fame.
The stadium of stardom was built by simple deeds;
Get started or get stranded at the gate of greed.

The steps on the ladder of legacies start from the bottom;
Those who do not start from there remain in thraldom.
Empty vessels still have space to get pregnant;
Start with the insignificant and you will get… important.

The oldest man was once a crawler and a suckling.
Do not quit even if your flowers are falling.
Listen to the roars of reason, start with that little brick;
Success is born out of tender treasures and not tall tricks.

No matter how big, a book starts from chapter one;
Is that not a lesson on getting great things done?
Nothing big started big, not even the Pyramids of Egypt,
Small things end great when done with the right spirit.
